Sorry, but I don't think we document it anywhere. These routines are meant
to only be called by the compiler, because they make many assumptions about
what registers contain certain values, and the compiler knows to put the proper
values into the proper registers. I'm not sure how much value this info would
be, but I'll see about getting it into the docs for the next compiler release.
