THOR was Tandy's read/write Compact Disc recorder. It's been on the
back-burner for about a year, following their 1988 announcement. The
Japanese manufacturers were very, very unhappy about these announcements,
which they hold responsible for making DAT somewhat of a bomb. –MFW
