Most of our wacky audio experts over on CEFORUM might dispute that
somewhat. I think it's clear that a $1000 combo LV/CD player will not
sound or measure as good as a $1000 CD player, for example–all things
being equal. One could argue that the differences are so close that they
are inaudible, but to me, the jury's still out on that question.
On the other hand: I own the CLD-91 (very, very similar to the CLD-3080),
and it does look and sound splendiferous. –MFW
