Explain what you mean by an ARexx macro that will do 'coords', and I'll be glad to help as best I can. I was specifically thinking of the problem you mentioned where you wanted to cut the exact same (coord) section out of several images. (right?) You could do that w/ARexx, by defining the region you wanted (via coords) and then clipping them out of several images. Since one would have the coords of the clip, one could even erase/reload the parent buffer and still be able to put it back exactly where you wanted…. (would need to experiment, but it sounds easy enough to do) (Ben: while thinking of this I realized that while it's easy to figure out the width and height, memory use and parent NAME of a child buffer, it is not possible to figure out WHERE it came from. (ie. the top/left x,y coordinate of the child buffer in the parent buffer) Could this be added to the buffer info that is returned? Or have I missed it?) — you know, if you DID keep the top/left coords of where the child was cut, you could allow the user to automatically put that buffer back into any pic at that location. User would not need to keep the parent around any longer in order to do a RESTORE TO PARENT, would they? Worth a shot…. Anyway, if you want, tell me what you have in mind, and we'll go from there. (BTW, like your Iguana pic…. nice job with the blends!) –jp–seattle–
