Actually, I can think of a couple of cases where someone other than the manufacturer would have a need to printer UPC's. In my retail store we have several products that don't have a readable UPC code. Precision MF2HD 3.5" high density floppies for instance. In their Box of ten packaging, the UPC is on the bottom of the box, and is covered by the shrinkwrap folds. The 3.5" disk notcher we normally stock (I'm out at the moment so can't give the name) uses a UPC code that is about 1.5" tall by over 2" wide printed on coarse cardboard box. While these may be readable by one of the "gun" type scanners, they're unreadable by our bar code reader's wand. So I have to type in 01303535230 for the disks instead of passing the wand over it. So I have a need to print replacement UPC lables. However, don't go firing up your compiler just yet to add UPC to the Amiga just because of me… I have several UPC Barcode fonts for the HP Laserjet, at least one program that will print it on my Star XB-2415 printer, and a nifty little Windows program that does Every barcode imaginable including UPC. Although it's only usable in Windows programs as it just produces a graphic that you cut and paste into another program.
