Harold, MicroSoft is not known for quality products. Consider that MS-DOS is one of their products and consider how many times it's been known to totally trash a hard drive. I've had an MS-DOS machine at work for about 5 years now…I've had the HD go south strictly because of a DOS error 4 or 5 times. I've also had an Amiga for about that same amount of time…and NEVER had the HD go south strictly because of the DOS. Another example, AmigaBASIC was written by MicroSoft. But be that as it may…I do realize that lots of people equate MS-DOS with "quality" because it's what comes on the vast majority of machines out there. I do agree that you need packages "as good as" product X, Y or Z…but you do not need X, Y or Z to be successful.
