Well, of course. I'd like to hear someone say, "yeah, we're looking at Unix, because it offers us these advantages over our MSDOS machines and we really oughta… etc". I'd like to hear someone say, "yeah, not being able to run all those MSDOS apps is no problem because Unix… ________". I'd like to hear someone say, "We changed to Unix last year because of _______ and we are very happy we did because ______ and we have great confidence that we'll be ok in the future because the company that is providing us that hardware and software is ______" or "we have great confidence we'll be ok in the future because although the company we bought from might go under and leave us stranded with their machines, it's ok because we can __________ and everything will be ok with little extra cost, just like we could with our MSDOS machines." I *never* hear stories like this. I'm enough of a pessimist to not wonder why. –Ben
