Various sorts of transition effects are available (louvers, wipes,
pushes, snap transitions, etc., but still not some of the video effects of
the Toaster. In professional video, dedicated DVE (Digital Video Effects)
equipment is still the preferred method. Essentially, this is what the
Video Toaster does, though perhaps at a lower quality. Current or near
future use of the Toaster will allow software on a Mac or PC to control the
Toaster in an Amiga.
