I'm stumped trying to attain a certain effect in Microsoft Word for WIndows. My company prints its manuals on ordinary 8 1/2 by 11 paper. We use a mirrored gutter on a landscape page. What we'd like to do is print each (odd or even) page *twice* on each page as it comes out of our PostScript printers, with an exact copy of the page displaced to the right half. This way, we can easily give our printer these two-up masters, they can duplicate them double-sided, then cut them down the middle and out comes two perfect manuals, already collated. I imagine I might be able to enact this using embedded PostScript commands. Am I missing something? Is there an easy way to do this two-up printing? As an alternative, is there a way to print two facing pages on a single landscape page? If PostScript is the way to go, anyone have this trick laying around? 🙂
