Source compatibility is only good for like UNIX versions. For example source code that was written for Berkley UNIX does not compile without modification on an UNIX System V system. I think when we talk UNIX, we ought to specify which flavor. Be it NeXT's Mach, AT&T System V Release 4, SunOs, ULTRIX, and/or BSD. Pick your poison! All things with UNIX in the name are not the same. -mark= – via the Whapster!
