Ben, When you go into a department store and buy those fancy white shirts and ties you where to the AmiExpo, and the gal rings all this stuff through her NCR, chances ar VERY good that she's using Unix without even knowing it! Also, don't forget, manyof those DOS boxes are tied in to some form of netwrk that is running on a Unix/Xenix/Zenix/ network server. You also can't just talk number of machines since the machines you talk do very little except keep executives making fewer fool hardy decisions 'cause they're too busy trying to figure out why Windows don't work worth doggy doo on their super duper 986 wiz bang clone box. Then there is the DOS/Clone compatibility problems (works on one machine – not someone else's …) I don't believe DOS is the future of anything. Besides, in the business I've been in for the past 12 years I've been around or run into Unix at all levels. Dos is relegated to the trivial – little light word pro and spreadsheet stuff. wmc
