! meg chip ram only affects too many screens at one time, not the number (or size) of programs. I don't think that a WP, spreadsheet, database, and telecomm program running at once should strain 1 meg of chip, it certainly doesn't on my machine. Let me try to convey to you why you are barking up the wrong tree. The Amiga is a machine that works differently than the PC. That's one of the reasons that WP takes so much flack for the incredibly crappy WP program they foisted off on Amiga users. While there are plenty of loyalists, with many reasons that would be dear to you (IE they have used it elsewhere and know how, an investment they don't want to part with) the program is trash. It looks bad, it performs worse, and it's ability to produce the output you want is extremely limited. WP 5 may be better. We'll see. We don't need another one of these. MS Works is a lump. We don't need or want lumps. Some of us don't even want users who want lumps. The best way to implement anything on the Amiga is in programs. aside: Person A; "The PC has TSR's, the Mac has Desk Accessories… so, what does the Amiga have? Person B: "Programs". If you caught it, that's a _real_ mean comment. :^) If you didn't, that's the root of your problem. –Ben
