The only thing I can think of is that you didn't have the deck set to dub to channel 2. With my deck ( Sony SVO-9600) I have to do two things to dub to channel 2. First I have to tell the TC board that channel 2 will be used for audio and not TC. Then I must set the audio dub channel to channel 2 via a menu. Hope this helps, Michael W.
