Hi Steve!
If you are interested I can get you the name and address of some folks
using a toaster equipped Amiga at the Fremont Correctional facility in
Canon City, Colorado. I don't know if they are on-line or not so It would
be a U.S. Mail address.
I have kindof a funny story, at least I think it is funny, about that
system. For you this is probably old hat, but I haven't spent that much
time around prisoners. 🙂
I installed this system at the facility there, it was in a medium
security type prison where the prisoners can walk around inside the
facility more or less as they please. (Canon City has about 4-5 prisons
where some are more secure, some less, some for women, etc.) Anyway, I
have this habit of taking out my wallet when I get to work because I don't
like it banging around in my slacks. So, at the install, In front of 5-10
inmates in their "video production dept" I throw my wallet and my car keys
in my briefcase. Now I didn't realize that I would be going out for a
cigarette, etc., leaving my briefcase in the production room while inmates
were in there. Anyway, by the time I realized that I had made a mistake
it was pretty much to late to do anything about it. I mean it would look
pretty bad, my turning around and pulling my wallet/keys right back out.
Anyway, nothing bad happened, my wallet, my keys, my money etc., stayed
right there… even when there were many times when the inmates were
totally unsupervised and alone.
