#Panasonic KXP1091 Prob.
Is anyone out there successfully using the Panasonic KXP-1091 with their
Amiga?
My sister has a printer I once used with my A1000 but that she has sinced
flipped DIP switches on to use with another computer. Now that she has an
A500 to connect it to, she's getting funny characters. Someone else MUST
have installed this successfully, and I'd appreciate if you could tell me
the DIP switch settings and printer driver used on your system.
We've changed the cable, used a couple of different drivers, and flipped
the obvious DIP switch candidates, to no avail. The strange thing is that
while MOST characters print correctly, certain ones are substituted with a
predictable pattern. (This pattern is using the ASCII character two below
the expected character, only for SOME letters.)
The printer runs self-test (and still runs with their older computer) OK,
and the cable has been changed, so it can't be hardware. Can anyone help?
