If you use a video deck that can read RC time code, you can use premiere to create an EDL from your low res temp scans. The Sony Hi-8 deck CD-1000(?) does this. You connect your comuter to the deck with a VISCA interface. Premiere for the Mac comes with the appropriate software, I assume Premiere for Windows does too. With the deck hooked to the computer and your device control preferences set to VISCA, you run movie capture like normal, but now you'll see a timecode window and controls to operate the deck. This is described in the Premiere manual on page 240 or so. I often use this method of digitizing tape to my Mac. I review the tape and click on the in timecode and out timecode to build a batch capture list, then let the computer take over while I do more important things. Good luck. Bob Roitblat
