Not ordering one yet 🙂 Am strongly considering it though. Part of what holds me back is the cost of the genlock I'd need to make it really useful (in a computer environment). Shoot, that's more than the LD player! Re drivers, there are a ton of ld drivers on the AV disc, and the flyer for the new MDP-1100 says that it is compatible with the sony LDP series, so I'd think it would work fine (under AV, of course). I'd have to write my own controller for CanDo, etc, but I don't think that would be a problem. ahh… hope not 🙂 The MDP-1100 also plays audio CD's, and offers computer control over accessing them. Since you can access audio CD's to the second, I'd think that some good music educational programs could come out of that? (ala the Voyager discs for the Mac). Anyway, stay tuned.
