Costas, OK, I can buy what you're saying about including API information with the VB package. That'd be OK with me. Still, the analogy with INTERRUPT in QB is apt, I think. In QB, the possibility of calling all those nifty interrupt functions was there in the manual…what was missing was any information on how to use them. Same thing in VB. The information offered was simply not enough for most users, even with a list of API calls and constants available here. The same thing applies even to some built-in functions, such as DoEvents. You knew it was there, but figuring out how to use it just wasn't really possible just from the manual. Unlike with QB, it looks as if the after-market books will fill in at least some of the gaps. I remember a futile search for Interrupt information that made sense to someone who was only a QB programmer, without ASM experience. I hope that doesn't happen with VB. George There are 2 Replies.
