Mitch– WinTech has a column devoted to visual programming. Visual Basic will surely be a big part of the column's focus. We're interested in visual tools like ObjectVision, ToolBook, and VB from the professional programmer's perspective. That is: Half or more of the people who buy visual programming tools probably don't consider themselves programmers. Many of the examples and tutorial articles about these products are designed to make the products accessible to nonprogrammers. These users should eventually account for the largest portion of the user base for visual programming tools. Still, the tools have a great deal to offer professional programmers. Many apps are appropriately written entirely in VB or ToolBook–WinTech will help readers identify which. And visual tools are *great* companions to traditional programming technologies like C, C++, Pascal, Actor, and Smalltalk. (Imagine me describing Actor and Smalltalk as traditional!) It's in this latter context that Windows Tech Journal will be most interested in covering Visual Basic. The premiere issue of Windows Tech Journal will carry a January cover date and be out in late December. We go monthly with the March issue. Circulation is 25,000.
