Hi Steve,
I heard THAT! Guess both Advanced Systems and those guys in Montreal (who are
they?) have put their 060 cards on hold till the big M chipmaker sees fit to
give them the 060 chip in mass or so I'm told. The demand for the 060 is high
almost every user I speak with plans on getting one. I am mearly trying to make
users realize that piracy is/was one of the reasons the Aimga got into trouble
and why we don't see more companies develop products in support of the
platform. Alpha Paint was 4-5 years in development and does things NO other
paint/graphics product for the Amiga/Toaster can do (and I try hard not to be
too comercial here on the net) but, bottom line is if the users don't support
us we'll have to move on. BTW Congrads on the DTV Forum! I've already found it
helpful personally and I look forward to helping any of our users that join the
Forum. Happy New Year! I predict that by the end of 1995 the Amiga will be back
and growing stronger. I somtimes wonder if it wasn't a conspiracy by the big
networks, cable, post houses, IBM/MAC, etc. to push the Amiga/Toaster out of
the market so that they could continue to charge outragous prices. My book is
due out in late 95 with a working title of ToasterTV (and yes I DO own the
Trademark! 🙂 as is the network/weekly show that I and a few others are putting
together to highlight the Amiga/Toaster phenomenon. I'd welcome yours and
others thoughts and input! Send me your most outraougs Toaster story.
All The Best,
Tom Patrick
