Hi Graeme, I am glad that BPS are active on this forum. The BPS bulletin board is not so convenient to use for support of Chart Builder. Chart Builder is a good product but its strengths seem to lie in the number of varied charts it can produce, rather than in its flexibility with a single chart. I my applications I use two types of chart most often: scatter and time series (line graphs). With the former I need to be able to plot regression lines and confidence intervals. With the time series graphs I need to have intelligent labelling of the X axis e.g. 23Jan 25Jan 27Jan 29Jan OR May89 June89 July89 OR 1990 1991 etc. Chart builder doesn't seem to good at handling a large number of points for anything but a scatter graph. Also, the choice of scaling for the Y axis is sometimes a little odd, in that a) the data may be compressed into the middle of the graph with a lot of y axis space above, b) the Y axis always starts at zero (but out data doesn't) and if the graph data spans zero the X axis is placed in the middle of the graph rather than at the bottom out of the way of the data. There are also some features which would be nice to have although are not as critical. These are: 2 y axis with a data set being assigned to the most apporpriate set and mixed graph types, e.g. bar and line. Regards… Graham
