Imagine can't Ray Trace
Peter, I tried expanding the world to 5000 so that I could get a ray
traced animation. That didn't work at first either. The object was
still invisible for the first 35 frames, whereupon a peice of the
object show
mes of the animation using the picked object-transformation-poition
menu item and found that the lagest coordinates were 9540 in y and
abou
ybe to extend the size coordinates to the limits that light had to
travel to hit objects at the extremes of the animation. I find it
annoying that something like this is not carefully documented. The
fact is, it should not exist in the program since the scan l d size
counts for one it should cound for both; or a better fix – if it does
not count for one it should count for neither. The fact that I even
had go through all these days of experimentation and BBS conversation
to determine how to get raytracing to work is an he artistic intent
and content to suit the program or blow deadlines trying to figure
out the undocumented "features" of the program. A wo
