Of course you can get help here naturally. Most of us would be willing to
try to assist you in learning the language.
Probably the first thing to do is to type: rx "trace ?r;nop"
This will allow you to interactively enter some of the rexx commands
directly to the interpreter.
Popping a CLI and a text editor up together to allow you to enter a
program, save and execute all with pretty simple operations.
Also, recommend getting some of the simpler rexx program examples from
here, Fish, or some of the magazines. Play around with modifications, and
insert trace statements to see how they actually work.
I think you will be surprised at just how fast you will be able to pick up
on how rexx programming works… remember though, that its' ease is
deceptive. While doing things in Rexx is really easy, there are often much
better ways to perform operations than the first obvious choice(s). Don't
let that deter you though.
