I just went through a similar series of experiments and trials to get
hidden lines renderred on 3DS. After trying most of what has been
discussed in this thread, I found the FASTEST way to do it is to just
take the model into AutoCAD and use the hide command. Not very elegant,
but it got the job done ! (with excellant line detail)
