We have been using OptiNet at my company – v.1.2, all different versions of
DOS, some Windows, Netware 286 and 386. At first it was great, but we've
also found it to be unstable.
You might also want to look at Meridian Data's CD-Net system. We're in the
middle of replacing our OptiNet system with that. So far, it has proven to
be rock solid. CD-ROM access under Windows is still a little "iffy", but
it doesn't seem to affect the server at all.
