Software Piracy
When I bought my 3000 (used) from someone here on CIS, I first faxed a
contract(-like thing) that basically said that I'd wire him the $$, and
he'd ship the machine insured within a certain time frame. It may not
have been legally enforcable (though a lawyer at work looked it over and
though it was), but it was something in writing. For that amount of
money, I couldn't just send it to him and hope he'd send the machine,
regardless of how many time I had 'talked' to him here.

(Turns out he's a really nice guy who been very helpful, but that may not
always be the case).
