Alberto, An unaccelerated A500 is likely to have problems at that data rate. The reports vary, some people have gotten it to work, some not. Sometimes a different terminal program makes enough of a difference. Sometimes shutting down other programs that you might be multitasking at the same time makes a difference. I'm sorry to not be able to provide you with a more definitive answer. The modem will, of course, operate for you at a lower speed if you can't run at top speed. If you get the modem and it won't work properly on your machine, you still can use it temporarily at a lower speed until you can upgrade your hardware. You might want to consider upgrading anyway, since even if it does work properly, chances are that your multitasking capabilities will be severely restricted. David
