I have got Term Autologins working, finally after much playing around
I discovered that you put the name of the Macro you will use to do the
login dialog in the Commands menu item for the phone book entry. Then in
the entry that says Startup/Login you enter the Macro/script name.
ie. \a Rexx:Term/login.rexx
the \a is mandatory and more or less obvious upon reflection but is not
really indicated in any clear way in the docs for Term. It indicates to
Term that the script is an Arexx macro to execute.
This took me about 2 weeks to figure out so I hope that helps, I also
have found that the External Term emulations ie. Vt340 to be unreliable
and sometimes locks up the machine Vt102/Ansi works great. Also you should
have the default screen format the same as the online mode (connected).
ie. don't have it in interlaced mode while dialing and have the online in
Hires or it may blow up.
Other than that I have found Term to be fairly nice term prog, I use it
very often to dial in to my company's VAX cluster and it appears to be a
good VT emulator although I would prefer to be using the VT340 emulation,
I will have to wait till the bugs are all worked out.
(VLT is a very good VT emulator if it that is Important to you although
it would be better if it emulated more than just the Vt100).
