Well, any good document is always more exciting with some visual element. It depends what your needs are. But in the collection I was working on, It was designed especially for the Amiga. A big part of it was concentrated on Video subjects with Video cameras, VCR's and the other stuff like that. The Lamborghini is a kind of teaser to the collection. I have been studying in visual graphics and text over the past years (5 years on the Amiga) and 3 years in DTP. A text only document, especially if very long like a Newsletter or a brochure can be very depressing. An 8 pages business report with text only may seems daunting. But place your text in Garamond 10 for example with generous leading, in 3 columns, put some illustrations related to the document, some white space and you can make your document fit in 4 pages, looks fresher, more professional and more effective to get your message across. On the Amiga so far, the only good clip-arts I have found are Mac or PC ports. This is why I decided to change that. I have to skills to do it, but studies I have made show me that the Amiga base is not large enough a market to cover my costs to finish the product. I hope you show me wrong. I am attempting to download a few samples in the next days so you can judge for yourself. I have shown the Lambo to some people who have Amigas and they Ask : "Illustrator? Corel Draw?" I say no, PDRAW ! Then, they get very impressed. Most PDRAW users I have met tell me "PDRAW Sucks!". I agree completelly. But it is the only software of the kind that is stable enough to work with. It has its quirks, and Gold Disk is deaf to my (and many other) complaints. Aldus cares so much about its users that it has a dedicated service called "User support". PPage the best DTP package on any platform ? Since when ? Have you ever worked with Quark Xpress ? Sincerelly ! JEH MTL
