David,
>> I picture you giving a few buzzer-handshakes to old people with pacemakers
<<
Your right on the money with that one….yes….I admit to owning one of
those…..But giving near-heart-attacks came much later when we started
driving. I do recall taking a Starter pistol that shoots only blanks pileing in
to my buddys familys blue ford Galaxy and staging a public "Hit" on Main Street
complete with fake blood and throwing our deceased freind in to the trunk while
speeding away down an alley…..
That bought us a little visit from the local "judicial organs" <BG>
>> So what were the special effects you creating in the house? <<
Nothing really special but rather neat for an 11 year old…I had the entire
house wired to a panel in the basement in my laboratory that let me know
whenever anyone opend or closed a Door, Window, or Cabinet.
Upon anyones entering or leaving a room I could manually trigger tape recorders
that were hidden under beds and in closets.
Electric motors that ran of DC power with pencils attached to them inside the
back of the cupboards alway was good for scream..<G>
the basic sick 11 year old stuff.
I once spent the better part of the night manually tieing together a giant
spiders web Contructed with Black spools of thread from my mothers and
grandmothers sewing kits that completly enclosed my brothers bed with an 11
inch clearance so he wouldn't hit it by turning over but when he tried to get
up he was trapped….that was a major scream! <BG>
That also got me my own room….Hmmmmmmm.
<<We still think it had something to do with that funny light in the sky I used
to see quite regularly.>>
Actually that's kind of an inside joke only it's really serious….
At age 11 on evening my freind and I were walking home talking about "Space"
Stuff and upon looking up into the Stars…were very excited to see a Satellite
tracking accross the night sky…
I ran home to get my mom outside to see it and by the time she got outside it
had passed on the horizon…however I thought I saw another one tracking just
above the tree line and had told my mom to look…Imagine our surprise when it
promptly made two 35 degree turns at right and left angles and sped off at
fantastic speed…we both looked at each other and I asked her what that
was..she said she didn't know.
A few years later I saw it again and this time I thought I knew what it
was….Don't Ask because I was a hell of a lot closer and there's no way
anything we currently fly could do that.
Must be swamp gas Hugh? <GR&D>
Well it's been great talking with you…
Did you say you were in Europe?
