To Those Concerned: The following are my reasons for leaving Compuserve; I am less than impressed. I was lead to believe that Compuserve was an Information forum, not a social clique, not a place where the big corporations could dump on the little guys, and certainly not the barren money pit that it seems to have become. I have been a member for several months and during this time I have witnessed all of the above. I have asked my fellow members questions and gotten responses ranging from silence to "You must be stupid not to know that". Hardly proper responses for an information forum. I have been told by Forum Administrators that the cluttered state of some of the forums was _my_ fault! That the users were somehow responsible for an FA who is too lazy to clean up his forum (btw Compuserve FAs are paid for their time. They receive free use and are given a percentage of that large fee that we pay every month. Ergo, it is a job, and should be done well.) The negligent (at best) response time of this supposed information service renders most of said information worth far less than you pay for it, sometimes even worthless. I have often waited in excess of two weeks for a response from a fellow user or Forum Administrator, from an apathetic user I suppose it is to be expected, but from someone who is paid to respond it seems inexcusable. I have rarely received a response that was anywhere near
