#3DS and Network drives
Does anyone else have any ideas on how to fix my disk sharing problem with
3DS? To reiterate…
We run Novell Netware, and share local (workstation)
hard drives with a software product called 'Map
Assist' from Fresh Technologies. This software
basically allows you to 'map' someone else's hard
drive as though it were another network disk.
EVERY OTHER program we've ever used seems to have
no problem recognizing these 'alternately mapped'
drives (incl. Windows, Ventura, WordPerfect,
AutoCAD, etc.).
3D-Studio, however, cannot see these drives at
all! We have tried most of the usual tricks
(performing a DIR on the remapped drive just
prior to invoking 3DS, etc.) but nothing seems
to help…
Any ideas? This is very important to us… Thanks in advance for your
input…
