#CDROM Disk Cacheing
I have used CD Speedway from Bloc Plublishing. It does a good job of
caching repeated reads of data. It will cache to any DOS drive device, eg.
C: D: or a ramdisk (preferable). I don't think it really does much in the
way of read-ahead though, and that is what is really needed for CD-ROM
improvement. If you are doing repeated reads of the same data and have a
few megs of RAM to spare, it will work well.
