Help! I have a Macintosh LC which I purchased a 21 Meg Floptical drive for by PLI (Peripheral Land Inc.). I also have an Amiga 2000 with a Dataflyer SCSI card, and a 52 Meg Seagate hard drive. I had a cable special made through Redmond Cable to allow me to hook up the 21 Meg Floptical to my Amiga. My SCSI card recognizes the device as I have it set at 5 in the chain. Unfortunately, I do not have the software to run the drive on my Amiga. I know that it is available because I've seen advertisements for the drive in AmigaWorld for the last few months. I have made dozens of phone calls to no avail. So far, I know that two kinds of 20 Meg Floptical devices are made, Briar and Insite. I have been told the two drives' media are not compatable with one another. I'm just interested in the software I need to connect the drive to my Amiga. If it is possible that some shareware program is available to do this, I would appreciate someone telling me where I could get it from. The drive mechanism I have is from Insite. After two weeks of calling around, I think Insite is the most abundant mechanism. Thanks to anyone who can help me. Please E-mail me at 76470,2564.
