I keep forgetting about Iconx. I used it once, as a platform to launch an
ARexx script I wrote, that enabled me to format a floppy disk using the
fast file system (FFS). I stumbled around trying to get the script to
execute, then came across Iconx. Wrote an Iconx script that says "Rx
FastFileFloppyFormat" and I was off. (The rabbit Icon I adapted from
NoFastMem really gets raves from people who look at my System disk, too!
:^) I know I could have written an Iconx script, but I wanted an option to
cancel the formatting, plus I had the luxury of reading the directory of
the disk I want to format before proceeding.
The best thing about the Amiga is its flexibility and ease of use! I
havn't even scratched the surface of it. Glad I didn't get a 486! (But I
wish I had waited until now to get the 3000 – Ouch!)
Thanks again for your help!
