Actually, I had one (A Sidecar) and sold it to my brother with my old Amiga 1000. I put an IBM type HD controller in it and a 30 meg HD and it is still working great. He seems somewhat content with it except for wanting more power, power, power…but he doesn't have or doesn't want to spend the money to upgrade to a more powerful system. The HD is partitioned 20 megs for Amiga and 10 megs for IBM. He uses the IBM side FAR more than I did. The Sidecar really does work…but not after a long time and patience trying to get it up and running. I got lucky finally. I still have a broken Sidecar and Commodore says if I send it in with $95 they will send me a factory sealed or refurbished unit. That is what I had to do with the last one and the one they sent me was factory new… still sealed in plastic. Apparently, they had or might still have some socked away in a warehouse somewhere.
