Hiya Bruce, I was over on the gamer's forum and saw all these threads addressed to SCK2 and I thought jeez this thing is really catching on. <G> What a riot! 🙂 All these maniacs doing Sim City mulations. Yeah I agree time for a name change, even Studio World would be better just so it has its own identity. >> Yeah, a nice _friendly_ ( with extry spayshul emaphasis on the —>friendly<— ) collaborative effort sounds fun…. << Well there's no reason that it shouldn't be. This is the way I concieved of it. Time is a limitation no doubt, so if you wanted to work on an entrance way for instance, and I'm not suggesting you do, (just an example) then you'd work on that, and we'd be talking about this and that as the project proceeds… etc. That way everyone involved can make a contribution and have some fun, but no big pressure thing to do a whole project etc. And having the time to work on one element will assure a fairly decent result. Then I suppose a couple of us could put the finishing details on it, and there you have it. If someone has to bail out no big deal and the project could be passed on in times of high work load to another member etc. to keep it rolling. That's the idea anyway… So here's the thought, think of something you'd like to do related to the Communications Center, maybe its a tower (read spire) or windows, Gargoyles, Statuettes, lighting fixtures, etc. The theme is kind of Gotham city like, Gothic and Deco but with futurist elements. Let your imagination run wild, and there you have it… <BG> I'll leave it up to collective skills to make it work. I figure that if each piece is well done in and of itself, we'll figure out a way to combine the elements into an interesting structure. And no sweat if its turns out a little wild, it should be fun and interesting. I don't expect it to win any awards, except maybe for most outrageous. <G> Some people might conclude what't the point then, and the only answer I have is just because, just to do it. And it will be a collective model, so everyone that contributes will have a copy of what each other has created. That way more experimentation can generate a variety of alternatives, and those elements that work best will be included for the final model. And if someone wants to continue development on their own, its no problem. I suspect however that it will be more fun to share one's creative inspirations and as a result the project will take on a life of its own. That's my hope. Now what I thought was I would send you and David a basic wireframe skeletal structure of the buildings basic form. Actually I could upload it into the library so if anyone wanted to check it out and decided they wanted to contribute, they'd have a starting place. Then we could determine if there were any other elements which needed to be included. What do you think? Workable, entertaining, fun even? <G> John
