#Current Wisdom on CD-ROM
We are about to purchase a CD-ROM for a Mac FX. Will initially be used for
data access (sometimes by running DOS software on Soft PC) from Census
CD-ROMs. Later, I suspect we will be doing some computer multimedia
development with QuickTime, etc.
What's the current wisdom on the best (better) CD-ROM drives to buy? Has
Apple released its rumored faster drives? If not, when? Are some of the
offerings from other vendors already using the faster technologies?
Assistance and/or references would be greatly appreciated.
