Dear John; Thank you for your reply, however the real question is: will this unit produce on-line quality downloadable to betaSP in broadcast quality. Also, besides the basic unit, what are the other pieces of hardware that are needed? The price in Israel is about, according to my friend, $30,000 with the PC. He does not know if that includes a capture board, or a download adaptor. Also, the question is how does this Fast Video Machine compare to the DVision pro 2.2? Which is better valuel for money. Lastly, my friend needs a system which also works in a studio environment. He works in a teacher's seminar which has workshops in video and a small SVHS studio. He wants to convert the present simple A-B Roll SVHS to non-linear, output to Beta, preferably in broadcast quality. Exactly, what does he need, if he goes with the Video Machine, to do this? Thanks for your prompt reply. I am a video producer working in Beta, who is thinking of purchasing a non-linear editing system. From what I read in this excellent forum, there are more products coming on the market in the spring and summer to compete with the omni-present Avid. All we have here is the Avid, a few Lightworks, and DVisions. Thanks again
