#CD Rom install
I have been attempting to get a CD rom drive to work in my A2000 for about
a week now. I would appreciate all help.
This is what I have; I have an A2000 rev 4.4 with 2.04 roms. I have tried
both my Hardframe 2000 and the onboard SCSI adaptor on my GVP combo II
030/33 board. My hard drive is terminated, and is on the end of the cable.
The CD Rom drive relies on external terminators, which I don't have. When I
boot, with a CD in the drive, 99.9% of the time I get no icon for my CD
ROM. I can do a cd cd0: and it comes up and says I have no disk in cd0:. My
mountlist.cdrom has the correct .device and correct SCSI ID, and all my
tools in workbench also list the right number.
What has gone wrong? If this won't work, I will be selling my Amiga, and
moving up to the IBM world.
