The fact that the system is telling you that there's no disk in CD0:
rather than please insert CD0: simply means that it's been mounted. If you
so an 'info' command from the shell does the device size change depending
on which CD-ROM is in the drive? Do you have any SCSI testing or mounting
software? I have a program I use called SCSIMounter that will display a
list of all the devices hooked to the SCSI bus along with the device
numbers of all the unused IDs. It should be here in the libs, and you
might want to give it a try, and see if the Amiga's even recognising the
drive. You might have gotten a defective drive, or it might have gotten
damaged in shipping, these things happen!
