Roy,
hmmm RSL, your that funky clock guy aren't you? Yeah I thought so!
HC1 is using the CC PLIX chip for 2-way X-10 control. I couldn't imagine
doing a computer controlled X-10 based product without it!
The hardwired part of it is currently using the A/D D/A type of conversion
systems, however after examining the Echelon LONworks based chips, I think
that I will drop the A/D D/A conversion hardware in favor of a LON based
distributed control network.
HC1 also has IR Receive and Transmit capabilities for your Audio/Video
equipment that has no other type of control abilities.
Before I start work on the LON integration I am currently working on adding
the capability to control high-end A/V Receivers/Monitors/VCR's/LaserDisc
Players via their own compu-link systems, like pioneers
multi-room/multi-source hardwired control system built into all of their
high end A/V equipment…
Sorry for the long winded response!

I am afraid that I probably won't be able to make your less than $379.00
price wish true though, as my product does so much more than the enerlogic
does. I think that I am looking closer the $1000.00+ range as far as price
goes. I feel this is reasonable considering the Mastervoice Butler in a Box
sells for $2495.00 and does so much less than my system. I haven't really
even thought about pricing yet though, so don't hold me to the above price.
Once the product is closer to completion I will see what I have invested in
hardware and time into the product and make a pricing decision!
