#FC II
I take back everything bad I ever said about Final Copy. The up
grade is terrific and I am now more than satisfied with FC2. It does every
thing I need to do and more. Thanks for your diligence.
I just have a couple of questions. I am using an 8-color
interlaced screen, with a medium blue as the background color, white as the
highlight, black as the shadow and orange as the fill. FC has picked cyan
as the color for highlighting text and for the cursor. It's a bit too
light for my taste and I'd like to change it. I tried changing the cyan
color using the Docu ment Colors palette, but the change does not affect
the screen. How can I change the cursor and highlighting color? (I know I
can change to 4 colors and black will be the cursor and highlight color but
I'd like to stay with the 8-color screen).
Second, is there any way to disable the "Okay to quit program?"
prompt that comes up every time you close a document? Or can you change
the default answer to "No" instead of "Yes" so a simple CR would get rid of
the prompt and keep the program running? (This is obviously not new to
FC2; it was a feature of the old FC as well).
So far those are the only things I can't seem to figure out.
Just wanted to also let you know that the price of the upgrade was
fair and the decision to supply us with an all new manual was a nice touch.
Since I do mostly straight WP and no DP I probably won't use some
of the new features such as the grafix tools, but there are a lot of new
fea tures I really do appreciate. One I have never seen before–and
therefore never really considered–is the little line on the ruler that
shows me where the cursor is. It's a bitch sometimes to line up columns of
text or numbers and this is a really elegant solution. If others aren't
providing it I suspect they will one of these days. It's a real nice
feature.
Since I once took the time to trash your old product I felt a need
to take time now to praise the new one. When a company makes an effort to
upgrade and support its products it deserves our praise and support. I
