Alec,
Several of my students are in the process of recreating a local auto
accident with 3ds2 as a project to work on while learning 3ds, acad, ani
and other programs for creating presentations. they bare having fun with
the project but there are a lot of tricks to learn. they all have a good
mastery of AutoCAD and Animator and have completed the tutorial in 3DS.
File sizes are a problem in a classroom lab setup. We are using some of the
auto and truck models from Viewpoint that ship with the CD. We cre3ated the
landscape in ACAD11 3d. rendering time on a 486-33 in too long. What tips
can you suggest for keeping file size down?
Are there any general tips for setup and modelling of accident scenes. How
accurate and to what detail do the animations have to be??
Thanks,
Pat Vernon
