#H.S. Modem Recomendation
Well, I have have the green light from GOD (my wife) to get a high speed
modem (I am doing 2400 baud at this time). I would like recommendations.
I was thinking of getting a Supra 28.8K baud Fax modem. I went out tonight to
get one but could not find it in the few stores I was able to hit before 9:00
PM. I did find a US Robotics Sportster. The Sportster is 28.8 data but only
14.4 fax. Is this true for the Supra also? It also says it is V.34 compliant,
but I had heard that the Supra's used something called V.Fast. Is this the same
standard? I remember USR used to have there own "standard" and I was reluctant
to buy their model without first getting some advice.
