The Kodak Photo CD player is NOT an XA drive. It will NOT output digital
information to a computer.
The Kodak Photo CD player is a home entertainment device that does two
things:
1. plays all existing audio CDs to a stereo system
2. plays Photo CD images to a TV
It has three video outputs, all of which are analog only: RF, composite,
and S-Video (these are slightly different in Europe, but the concept is the
same).
The recent announcements we made were that you will be able to add sound to
Photo CD discs, beginning next year. Existing Photo CD players already can
play such discs. In fact we pack one with every player that contains
instructions on how to use the player features, in six languages.
Hope this helps with what I know is a very confusing subject.
