If you have our CorelSCSI ASPI drivers you can use your NEC 84 drive to read single session PhotoCD's. If your are using our ASPI drivers you will have a CUNI_ASP.SYS line in your config.sys file. If you add /XA to the end of this line you will be able to read PhotoCD's on your NEC drive. When an NEC drive is put in PhotoCD mode it cannot read regular CD's, so you will need to remove the /XA switch from your driver line to read your non-PhotoCd disc's. There is a file called PHOTO.TXT in our CorelSCSI Library, here on Compuserve, that gives an example of how the /XA switch is added to your config.sys file. Note that the NEC 84 does not appear on the list of PhotoCD compatible CD-ROM drives, but NEC has assured us it will work.
