Flame on…
I'm not interested in your offer…luckily, because you wouldn't supply me
anyway, I don't live in the Continental United States.
What I would be interested to know is why these (apparently) fantastic
offers always seem to be limited to the US of A? Microsoft give all us
poor foreigners a kick in the teeth in their adverts…you know the ones
like 'Upgrade to Microsoft C+- version 99.3 from any other langauge
compiler for just $10'…then you see the small print at the foot of the
advert…'Offer only good for US residents'. Meanwhile us poor Brits get
charged hundreds of pounds for an upgrade and even more for the full
package.
I know you can't answer for Microsoft or the other companies who do these
US only special deals, but what's the reason for *your* offer being limited
to US residents only? If you'd said $89 for US residents and $109 for
non-US residents (allowing a whole extra $20 for shipping…that should be
plenty surely?) then that would sound fairer. But to just exclude us from
the offer completely sounds a bit xenophobic to me.
…Flame off
