#Soundblaster/CdRom
Chris, I'm going to have a little more info to make and educated guess.
First, I believe the Sherlock CDROM game is DOS based, right? Are you
trying to run it under Windows? Does the SB Pro produce system sounds and
play .MID files under Windows as its supposed to? Does the SB Pro play
.MID files under DOS? If the problem is always under Windows, have you
gone into the Control Panel and into the Drivers setup utility? For access
to CDROM Redbook audio you need to have the MCI driver for CD Audio
installed. If you don't see it in the list of drivers, you need to add it.
Just follow the help file procedure. I don't think your problem has much
to do with M.R. Jones problem since his problem was setting up the SB Pro
for DOS based input of Redbook audio into the SB Pro's input jack. Hope
these suggestions give you food for thought. Cheers, Keith.
