John, I guess my ASCII/ANSI knowledge needs to be improved vastly. I found that some of my .AFM files were munged and this was the root of my problems getting Pagestream to display the special character set. Somehow, PPage was able to use those same .AFM files to properly generate the characters when fontmanager in PPage generated the compugraphic files. Your description of encoding is appreciated, thank you. Chris
